Position Summary:

The Full-Time Teacher Assistant supports lead teachers in creating a nurturing, educational environment for preschool children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising children, and helping facilitate a positive learning experience. All staff members are required to complete state-mandated training and requirements within designated timeframes, attend monthly professional development sessions, and obtain First Aid and CPR certification prior to starting on-the-job training (OJT). Full-time employees benefit from health insurance and are subject to a 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities:

- Assist lead teachers with planning and implementing daily lessons and activities. 

- Supervise and monitor children to ensure safety and well-being. 

- Support children’s social and emotional development. 

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment. 

- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children’s progress. 

- Follow all safety and health guidelines to ensure a safe classroom setting. 

- Support individualized learning plans for children with special needs if applicable. 

- Complete all required state training and certifications within mandated timeframes. 

- Attend monthly professional development sessions. 

- Maintain First Aid and CPR certification prior to commencing OJT.

Education Requirements: 

- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education preferred. 

- Prior experience working with preschool children is a plus.

Background Check & Clearance Requirements:

- Follow all safety protocols during transportation and meal preparation.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent. 

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 

- Food handler’s certification preferred.

All Positions General Requirements:

- Complete all state-mandated training and requirements within specified timeframes. 

- Attend monthly professional development sessions.
